The Cherokee County Adapted Physical Education Department recently held it’s annual bowling outing for students with intellectual disabilities.

The purpose of this community-based instruction opportunity was to encourage students with disabilities to maintain a physically active lifestyle and to generalize the skills they learned in physical education class in a natural environment. Several volunteers from Kennesaw State University and Crossroads High School served as lane assistants. Over 300 special education students participated in this event.
